Pachinko on the iPhone

Pachinko is a popular form of gambling in Japan. With Sho Chiku Bai [App Store Link], you can enjoy a modern rendition of this game on your iPhone/iPod Touch.
Just like in real-life pachinko, the goal is the land the steel balls in the pocket. Doing so awards a payout and also spins the slot reels. Control is handled by a knob that regulates the ball’s velocity.
The overall presentation of the game is very good. The design of the table is well-executed and ball physics appear to be realistic. If I had to split hairs, I wish the graphics in the central screen were a bit more spruced up.
I say this only because I’m used to the in-your-face eye candy found in your average, modern day pachinko machine.
Other than that, this is an excellent pachinko port that should keep both fans and casuals happy.
